Engineering / materials / qualification records
Magnetic closure materials. Make the test traceable.
Define what a result proves before comparing numbers. Connect the material, enclosure, assembly revision and test method to the sample your team is evaluating.
Sample qualification plan; figures and reports are supplied for the actual tested configuration.

A useful report ties one identified configuration to a method and result. A material datasheet, a test-method reference and a finished-garment approval answer different questions.
Magnetic cord formats
Start with the cord construction.

Cord coil and cut lengths. Assign a specimen reference before recording dimensions and conditioning.

Visible cord cross-sections. Connect the selected sample to its material documents and test plan.
Construction options
Separate three levels of evidence.
Material identity
Compound, polymer, coating and component drawings identify what is being evaluated. Supplier-origin documents must identify the relevant part and revision.
Assembly performance
Care, force, flexing, enclosure retention and exposure results describe the complete sample and its conditioning.
Product and process approval
Brand QA, regulatory assessment and factory work instructions determine the accepted finished-product configuration and production controls.
Prepare the sample brief
The minimum useful test record.
| Define | Project input | For the sample review |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Part, lot and construction revision | Include the material stack and a sample photograph or drawing. |
| Method | Procedure, edition and apparatus | Identify any departure from the agreed method. |
| Conditioning | Care and environmental history | State wash, dry, exposure or flexing conditions and cycles. |
| Measurement | Direction, fixture, speed and units | Separate opening force, attachment strength and closure retention. |
| Criteria | Agreed acceptance limits | Define the criteria before running the evaluation. |
| Result | Observed values and disposition | Retain failures, changes and approval signatures. |
Integration sequence
A qualification sequence with a clear record.
Freeze a sample definition
Identify the closure and complete assembly. Record drawings, lots and the manufacturing route used.
Agree the test plan
Choose procedures, sample quantities, conditioning and criteria with the responsible buyer and QA team.
Capture actual results
Retain raw observations, measurement settings and any failure evidence alongside the report.
Control later changes
Review whether changes in material, enclosure, pattern or equipment require a new evaluation.
Your next construction
Bring your brief into the sample room.
Share your material stack, installation route and evaluation needs. Sample selection, availability and supply terms are confirmed after review.
Define the evidence
What the sample needs to demonstrate.
Care records
Define a wash/dry programme and cycle count. ISO 6330 supplies procedures; a project result must identify the actual sample and outcome.
Force records
Use the finished layer stack and distinguish normal pull, edge peel and sliding. Keep mounting and magnetic retention results separate.
Requested documentation
List required material declarations and third-party reports in the brief. Document availability and scope are confirmed for the selected project.
Include both sides of the material stack when preparing a closure brief.

Questions worth resolving early.
Where can I download your test certificates?
Send the product scope and required documents so the relevant available records can be identified. This page is a qualification framework and does not claim certification for every construction.
Who should issue the test record?
Identify the testing provider, method, sample lot, part revision and report responsibility in the qualification plan. Confirm the appropriate testing arrangement for the project.
Can I compare two closure pull-force numbers?
Only with the measurement context: assembly stack, direction, fixture, speed and conditioning. Request the full record before drawing a selection conclusion.
Technical references
Read the source in context.
Defines domestic washing and drying procedures for textile testing; not proof that a MagClosure sample passed.
